Dnepr - Picard/Prisma

Mission overview

Prisma is a satellite mission managed by the Swedish Space Corporation (SSC), comprising two satellites that operate in formation. The mission is conducted in partnership with CNES, the French space agency, which supplies the radiofrequency metrology system that allows the satellites to maintain close formation and autonomously avoid collisions.

The Prisma satellites were launched alongside the PICARD spacecraft on 15 June 2010 aboard a Dnepr rocket from the Dombarovskiy Cosmodrome near Yasny.
